Pa tells Laura and Mary about making maple syrup in [cf2]Sugar Snow[cf1], adapted from [cf2]Little House in the Big Woods[cf1]. [cf2]Sugar Snow[cf1] offers more information about Laura's pioneering family, but both books are weak substitutes for the original tales, which readers will be better off waiting for.
