The story of Canada's history is documented in songs that have been sung from pre-European times through periods of migration and settlement to the present day. These songs tell of Canada's past and present: voyageurs, lumberjacks, miners and farmers, soldiers, fishermen, and historical characters come alive through the songs that have been passed down the years.
