Summary:
In the year 1642, Rembrandt reluctantly agrees to paint the Amsterdam Musketeer Militia in a group portrait that will later come to be known as the Nightwatch and stumbles upon a treacherous murder plot involving his subjects. Determined to expose the conspiracy, Rembrandt builds his accusation in the form of the commissioned painting, a decision which costs him everything.
