Franklin and the big kid / [Sharon Jennings ; illustrated by Sean Jeffrey, Jelena Sisic, Shelley Southern].
Why is Franklin suddenly wearing his baseball cap backwards and asking his parents to buy him a skateboard? Because he wants to be just like Jack Rabbit, a big kid in the neighborhood. Franklin is so busy helping Jack with his paper route that he doesn't have time to play pirates with his best friend, Bear. But after spending a long, hard Sunday morning folding and delivering papers, Franklin begins to think maybe he isn't ready to be a big kid, after all. He uses his earnings to buy candy and hurries to the treetop pirate ship to share the "treasure" with Bear.
